Bakirov Abbos (Andijan) was an actor and director. People's Artist of Uzbekistan (1939). He began his career in 1931 as an actor at the Andijan Regional Musical Drama and Comedy Theatre named after Oxunboboyev.

Mahkam polvon ("Bogʻbon qiz"), Qosim dehqon ("Ontarish"), Muslimboy ("Halima"), and others were his early roles. In roles such as Rustam ("Rustam"), Ferdinand ("Intrigue and Love"), Gʻofir ("Boy ila xizmatchi"), and Romeo ("Romeo and Juliet"), he appeared as a vibrant and courageous hero. Although Bakirov was naturally a decisive and strict person, he tried to instill these traits into his characters. He began his film career with the role of Azamat in the first Uzbek sound film, "Azamat". His best roles include: Amir Olimxon ("Amirlikning yemirilishi"), Sultan Mahmud ("Abu Ali ibn Sino"), Abbos ("Ulugʻbek yulduzi"), Aʼzamxon ("Ikki dil dostoni"), and Yusufbek hoji ("Oʻtgan kunlar"). In combining a person's personal experiences with their beliefs and worldview, the role of Yusufbek hoji particularly showed that Bakirov was a master of realistic art. Bakirov played both positive and negative roles with equal skill. On stage, he masterfully used body and hand gestures, and especially his face, eyes, and tone of voice.

As a director, he staged more than 40 plays. Due to his deep knowledge of the people's history and customs, Bakirov staged national works with special success: "Alisher Navoi", "Shohi soʻzana", "Ogʻriq tishlar", "Muqimiy", "Xolisxon", "Nurxon", "Nodira", "Layli va Majnun", and others are among these. He was a laureate of the State Prize of Uzbekistan named after Hamza (1970).
