Abusaid Kuchimov, one of the prominent representatives of Uzbek children's literature, continues to contribute to the development of children's literature as both a poet and a prose writer. While he drew poetic scenes from the lives of children and teenagers in his poetry collections, his collections of stories and novellas mainly depict village life and events characteristic of the character of village children. Abusaid Kuchimov has translated a number of poems and stories by writers of brotherly nations into the Uzbek language.
Biography
Abusaid Kuchimov is one of the prominent representatives of Uzbek children's literature, born in 1951 in the Urgut district of the Samarkand region.
After finishing secondary school, he studied at the Faculty of Uzbek Language and Literature of the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after Nizami.
He worked as a proofreader at the "O'qituvchi" publishing house, a reporter, department head, executive secretary, and editor-in-chief at "Tong Yulduzi" (formerly the "Lenin Uchquni" newspaper), executive secretary at the "Sharq Yulduzi" magazine, and held responsible positions at the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Presidential Administration.
From 1997 to 2005, he headed the National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan.
He was awarded the UNESCO prize for his series of journalistic articles on the theme of cherishing nature. For his book "Halqa", he was awarded the annual prize named after Ghafur Ghulom by the Writers' Union.

In his collection titled "Umid Daraxtlari", he focused on the issues of child upbringing and their place in society in current complex conditions.
Abusaid Kuchimov has translated a number of poems and stories by writers of brotherly nations into the Uzbek language. The adventure novella "Journey to the Red Planet" by the Tatar writer M. Kharisov was published as a separate book in his translation.
Abusaid Kuchimov's works have been translated into many languages.

When Abusaid Kuchimov's first poems and articles were published in the press, he was a secondary school student. A number of his books have been published, such as "Kashfiyotchi Bolalar" (1978), "Mening O'zbekistonim" (1979), "Toshburgut" (1981), "Mening Yulduzim" (1984), "Chanoq" (1985), "Halqa" (1987), "Ikkibahor" (1990), and "Umid Daraxtlari" (1992).
