Children's poet Kavsar Turdiyeva was born on August 6, 1958, in Tashkent into an intellectual family.
In 1975, she graduated from school No. 201 in the Chilanzar district. That same year, she entered the journalism faculty of Tashkent State University. Later, she completed her studies at Leningrad State University (1981).
Kavsar Turdiyeva studied at the postgraduate program of the Alisher Navoi Institute of Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. She worked as a teacher at the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute. Currently, she is the department head at that same institute. Born into a family of literary scholars and linguists, Kavsar became interested in children's literature from a young age. Her first poem was published during her school years in the newspaper now known as «Tong yulduzi».
In 1994, Kavsar Turdiyeva defended her candidate dissertation on the topic «Problems of spirituality in modern Uzbek children's poetry». Currently, she is working on her doctoral dissertation on the topic «Trends in the development of recent Uzbek children's literature».

Her first book, «Varrak», was published in 1983. After that, her books «O‘ynayapman, o‘ylayapman» (1987), «Qush bo‘lib uchgan ona» (1994), and «Raqamlar bo‘ylab sayohat» (2002) were published. They are dedicated to revealing the innocent expanses of children's hearts and showing their delicate psychological emotional processes.
Kavsar Turdiyeva is also conducting research in the field of children's cinema. Her plots written for the «Zumrasha» satirical film magazine, such as «Ma'naviyatli bo‘laylik» and «Sumalak va tilak», were highly praised at various film forums. As a children's playwright, Kavsar created a stage play called «Toshkesaklar mamlakatida» dedicated to the Year of the Healthy Generation. The year 2003 was especially productive for Kavsar, as her poetry collections «Ona isi», «Obod mahalla ko‘chalari», «Hayvonat bog‘i», and «Salomat bo‘ling» were published simultaneously.
