The work of poet Qambar O‘tayev ("Qambar Ota"), who has been writing poetry books and hundreds of cheerful songs for children for many years, became especially prominent during the years of independence. Now, thanks to the blessings that independence has brought to our Motherland and our people, he sings with great love of the concepts of freedom, pride, and honor that have emerged in young hearts for their liberated Motherland.

Biography

The poet's moral-didactic works, included in collections such as «Tale of Toshpolvon and Ishpolvon», «I Talked to a Bird», and «The Boy Who Slept on the Roof» created in recent years, deserve special attention for their focus on educating children in the spirit of high spirituality. For this reason, for nearly 30 years, his selected poems have remained staples in school textbooks, extracurricular reading books, and methodological guides for kindergartens and schools.

In particular, many of his poems, such as «Uzbekistan - Motherland» (included in the first-grade «Odobnoma» textbook), «Earth» (in the 1st-grade «Reading Book»), «In the Garden» (in the 2nd-grade «Reading Book»), and «Where Does Bread Come From?» (in the 4th-grade «Reading Book»), inspire feelings of love for the Motherland by introducing little ones to the world around us.

Children especially love to perform the poet's songs such as «Ay-yay-yay...», «Children's Eyes», «Toy Bola», «Uzbekistan - Motherland!», «Where Else Is There Such a Land?!», «The Child is Precious», «Your Laughter», «My Beloved Navruz», «My Little Sun - Little Friend», «A Tassel from a Tulip», «Flowers are Good, Tulips are Good», and «I Am a Polvon».

Humorous poems like «The Squirrel Running in a Wheel», «The Jokers», «Pumpkins», and «Frolic Away, My Little Goat» bring joy to children's hearts. In short, the talent of the renowned poet Qambar O‘tayev is clearly evident in his works, which both delight children and invite them to think and reflect.

As destiny would have it, the future poet's childhood was spent in unforgettable places, including the steppes of Koson and Chiroqchi, the village of Bahrin in Urgut, along the banks of the Dargom canal, in the fields of the Pastdargom district, and in the city of Kattaqorgon, with its life-giving Kattaqorgon canal and Nahripoy flowing through it, and further on, the banks of the Qoradaryo, filled with beautiful oleaster, apricot, and grape orchards, and all kinds of fruit trees.

Deeply devoted to literature, the poet moved to Tashkent with his family in 1974 and began working at the Gafur Gulam Publishing House of Literature and Art. He compiled his well-developed poems and published books titled “Soil of the Motherland” and “Our Cosmos”. His poems and epic tales began to mature and gain popularity.

Among the works written by the poet Qambar Ota, his deep-meaning poems on patriotism and education, such as “Loyalty”, “Longing for the Motherland”, “Don't You Dare Be Like That...”, “Battle of the Beetles”, “The Child is Precious”, “Sardor's Legend”, and “Things of the Past”, as well as his talented epics “Spoiled Twins” and “The Gardener's Story”, and hundreds of songs, brought him fame.

In 1999, the poet's work was awarded the “For a Healthy Generation” order of the II degree by our President.
