Samandar Hamroqulov was born on December 23, 1978, in the city of Namangan, Namangan Region, into the family of the artist and comedian Rustam Hamroqulov. He attended School No. 2 named after Farobi. While in school, he enjoyed humming the songs of master artists. After finishing school, he graduated from the "Musical Drama" faculty of the Tashkent State Institute of Art.
Samandar's debut song, "Sevgi fazosi" (Space of Love), became a hit. Following this, "Asalim go'zal" (My Beautiful Honey), "Samandar tangosi" (Samandar Tango), and the soundtrack "Sen o'zing" (You Yourself), recorded for Rustam Sa'diyev's 2002 film "Muhabbat sinovlari" (Trials of Love), gained significant popularity and reached hit status. The artist is not only a singer but also portrays wonderful roles in feature films. He played the lead role in the films "Chayon gul" (Scorpion Flower) directed by Sobir Dadamuhamedov based on a work by Khurshid Dostmuhammad, as well as in "Muhabbat sinovlari-1" and "Muhabbat sinovlari-2". Additionally, he has delivered excellent performances in lead roles in director Jahongir Qosimov's films "Taqdir" (Destiny) and "To'da" (The Group), Ahad Farmonov's "Muhabbatimsan" (You Are My Love), and Zebo Navro'zova's "Yarim baxt" (Half Happiness).
Samandar Hamroqulov has also won several awards. He was awarded "Newcomer of the Year in Music" at the 2002 "Tarona" awards, became a laureate of the "Nihol" award in 2003, received the "Singer of the Year" award again at the 2004 "Tarona" awards, and was honored with the title of Honored Artist of Uzbekistan in 2007.
