Talented comic actor and director Sanjar Shodiyev was born on January 24, 1977, in the Qizil Tepa district of the Navoiy region, into a family of artists, specifically the family of the singer Sultan Shodiyev. He attended Secondary School No. 1 named after M. Gorky in the district. Most artists develop an interest in art during their school years. Sanjar had this desire as well, but his mother, Khosiyat-aya, strongly opposed it. However, during the cotton harvest season in his school days, he would jokingly tell his classmates, "Get my autograph now; if I become famous early, I might not have time to sign autographs for you." But as fate would have it, after completing his military service, Sanjar Shodiyev entered the Drama and Film Directing faculty of the Tashkent State Institute of Arts. While still a student, he showcased his talent by playing roles in over 170 plays. His teachers even asked him, "Are you a director or an actor?" because Sanjar had intended to master the profession of a director upon entering the institute. Sanjar's first film was the role of Borya in Burxon Sharopov's film "Jonim seni yoxud egizaklar." His first work as a director was the 2007 film "Ortiqcha omad." Then, he presented the films "Yetti haykal bitta kal" in 2009, "Qalb ko'zi" in 2011, and "Jigarbandim" in 2012 to the audience. In his spare time from directing and acting, Sanjar also sings. He has about 10 songs in his repertoire. Sanjar Shodiyev often emphasizes that the number 7 brings him luck.
1. Sanjar was born in 1977.
2. There are 7 people in his family: parents and 5 children.
3. He entered university in 1997, studied for 2 years on a contract basis, and left the institute. Later, in 2000, he re-entered on a state-funded basis. In total, he studied for 7 years.
4. There were 7 students in his class: 5 state-funded and 2 contract.
5. During his student years, he lived in room 70 of dormitory No. 77 named after Yu. Rajabiy.
6. In 2007, Sanjar got married.
