Umid Shahobov was born on November 7, 1978, in Tashkent. He began his education at School No. 26 in the Yakkasaroy district, while simultaneously attending Music School No. 6, where he studied the Kashgar rubab.

After graduating from school with honors, the singer completed his studies at the Hamza Music College and later at the "Traditional Singing and Performance" department of the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. The singer's hit songs include «Jonim seni olib ketaman», «Lola», «Farishtam», and «Faryod».

To date, the singer has presented nearly 200 songs, over 25 music videos, and 9 albums to his fans. The albums are titled «Olib ketaman», «Farishtam», «Nega kelmaysan», «Azob», «Sog'inganim», «Nozli gulim», and «Faryod».

In 2001, he held his first concert program titled «Farishtam» at the Turkiston Palace. Umid Shahobov collaborates with many poets and composers. These include the beloved poets Bobur Bobomurod, Ibrohim Jiyanov, Toxir Muxammad, and Kamron, as well as composers Ulug'bek Jabborov, Ilhom Mamatov, Axmadjon Xojimatov, Avzal Husanov, and Elmah Solihov.
